Thinking of Studying in Canada, Maybe this is the right time

There is no question that the covid-19 has disrupted, and caused chaos and economic loss across all countries in the world. One Country it has an immense effect on is the Canadian immigration program.

Every year, the Canadian government established a threshold of the number of immigrants that Canada needs to meet some of the immigration challenges the country faces due to the low birth rate and the rise in the ageing population.

Canada can meet up these immigrations need through various immigration programs, namely The express entry (economic class), temporary work permit, international student, family reunion and refugees, protected persons and humanitarian.

Due to the impact of Covid-19, Canada is not able to achieve the immigration threshold for the year 2020 and in combating the shortage, the government has proposed to increased the numbers of immigrant that will be allowed to come to Canada through the various immigration stream for the year 2021, 2022, and 2020 including through international student stream.

While this post is not about IMMIGRATION, it is about university education in Canada. If you have been thinking of furthering your study abroad specifically in Canada, maybe this is the best time to explore the options of coming to Canada through study.

This robust immigration program will arguably increase the number of international students that will be given the opportunity through admission to Canadian universities to come to Canada and a potential path to permanent resident and citizenship in the long run if you meet the residency requirement.
